The Irish Development Education Association (IDEA)
6 Gardiner Row, Dublin 1, Ireland
The Irish Development Education Association (IDEA) is the national network for Development Education in Ireland.
IDEA represents over 70 members involved in the practice, promotion and advancement of Global Citizenship Education (known as Development Education in the Irish context). Together we work to strengthen Development Education in Ireland and to raise awareness of the crucial role it has to play in achieving an equal, just and sustainable future.
IDEA members include Development NGOs, community and voluntary organisations, educational institutions and networks, trade unions, educators, researchers and activists. They deliver Development Education in formal, non-formal and informal settings, engaging hundreds of thousands of people across all ages and communities throughout the island of Ireland each year.
In the Bridge 47 project, IDEA leads on the Partnerships work. Find out about our Partnerships work here.
In Ireland, Bridge 47's work is led by our National Officer, Ji Hyun Kim, and focused on the implementation of advocacy and exploratory partnerships between IDEA and its member organisations and external entities.
